Good glove leather is characterized by various properties, because gloves have to withstand a lot over the course of a winter: they are put on and taken off frequently, have to defy the different weather conditions and always stay in shape.
The hair sheep is no ordinary sheep. Instead of a lush woolly coat, the animal has a fine coat of hair. The leather is fine-pored and even. The leather is exceptionally soft to the touch, but at the same time it is hard-wearing. This makes hair sheep leather ideal for glove production. We obtain our leather from a tannery in Naples with decades of tradition.
Deerskin is slightly thicker than hairsheep leather. Nevertheless , it is very soft to the touch, feels supple and at the same time withstands heavy use. These properties guarantee a comfortable fit and a long service life. With its eye-catching grain pattern, deerskin has a unique, high-quality look.
The special smell of genuine leather is unmistakable and cannot be imitated by artificial leather. Genuine leather has a distinctive surface structure and pores that can absorb water and grease.
Small imperfections in the leather are the cause of scars or insect bites that the sheep has received over the years. But these in turn speak for the authenticity of the leather. Slight color differences are also possible.
Every leather skin is unique and therefore every glove made is unique.
All types of leather used come from livestock farming.
